Honey Baked Ham Website Redesign

From old branding to new, fresh branding catered to the newer generation. The task to redesign the look and feel with the fresh new branding. Their bold new branding accompanying with their bold use of vibrant colors, iconography assets, and the fun stuff.

The problem

Let's travel back. The previous Honey Baked Ham Co. old franchise website had an outdated design. (Please let it load!) A few problems arose, some examples of conflict:

• A sticky nav bar covering the main image for website's header or jumbotron, unable to view image.
• Odd image formatting and text formats in long columns similar to textbooks.
• Lack of flow on content and quick readability.

Processes & ideation

I created along wireframes to streamline content and give options for users to continue to read forward. A journey, per-say. We as a team, created full prototypes and client requested to frankenstein a few elements onto my design. I had the opportunity to take on the full project from then on forward. (Yipee!)

The solution

Solutions I brought to the table during execution of the project.

• Visual appeal on large imagery, color blocking, play of use on their new assets of pattern, iconography, and adding in picnic texture!
• Use of mixture of headers of new branding: cursive type and bold text.
• Catered to audience (franchisee) of options to navigate through website content with loads of information to why HBH is the best franchise option.
• Playful clear blocks such as tab systems, hovers, with orange iconography.

The marketing team at Honey Baked Ham Co. enjoyed the throughout design both mobile and desktop. It matched the brand well. It was recognized on franchisee sites for its design.
